Academic and Behavioral Problems
Academic and Behavioral problems can be a result from various situations. For example, learning difficulties can stem from disabilities or just a lack of attention from a teacher. Behavioral problems can also be a cause of the academic problems. In contrast, behavioral problems could have no effect on academics at all.
Studies have found that children who have neurofeedback therapy for 6 weeks are better able to calm down, express themselves better regarding difficult issues and follow classroom instructions more easily than students who did not receive treatment.
Students are able to focus, memorize, and process information more quickly allowing them to complete homework assignments in a focused and timely manner. They are less distracted by and have more control over their attention spans.
Students become much happier as a result of neurofeedback because they are more confident they will focus and complete whatever tasks are asked of them in the classroom. Overall students benefit from increased focus, memory, and concentration skills they gain in neurofeedback.
Many times, students who would normally be prescribed medication to alter their biochemical levels in their brain can avoid having to use these medications with neurofeedback therapy. Improved concentration, focus, and memory allow the students to learn and retain information more effectively.
D and F students may become Honor Roll students and effortlessly complete assignments that previously greatly challenged them. As a result of neurofeedback, parents and children have more peace of mind and confidence they are on the right track.
